The Molokai Public Library will be closed from Feb. 14 to March 18 for re-carpeting. The bookdrop will be locked down the afternoon of Feb. 11 for the duration of the project. However, library materials can be returned at the library’s carport behind the building during public service hours.

During the closure, the public service hours at the interim site (the library’s carport) will be Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be limited services, and computer access will not be available. Patrons will be able to borrow request holds (only items already on hold at the time of the closure) and borrow honorbacks/available books as well as browse the newspapers and magazines. There will be no DVDs or CDs available. All materials borrowed during the closure will be due on March 21. Staff will not be able to collect fines or fees during the closure.

The library will reopen on March 21 following the regular public service hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesdays 12:30 – 8 p.m.
